One Dead, Three Injured After Car-Pickup Truck Accident in High Point, NC

A two-car crash in High Point, North Carolina has left one passenger dead and three injured, reports. On July 2, 2011, a 2011 Chevrolet Cavalier was traveling north on North Main St. When it ran a red light, it was hit by a 1990 Red Ford Bronco. The driver of the Bronco was treated for injuries, and two passengers were taken to the hospital. One of the four passengers in the Cavalier died, authorities said. According to the initial investigation, neither speed nor alcohol was a factor in this crash.

Our thoughts go out to the victims of this car accident. Because an investigation is still in progress, it's difficult to say what may have caused this crash. Of course, the choice to run a red light is never a good one, but we can't be sure of the driver's motivation behind it. Was he/she impatient, or just not paying attention? Perhaps the driver was tired, and at the late hour, decided to risk running the light. We'll just have to wait for the accident report to find out.

If the accident report does indeed find the driver of the Chevrolet Cavalier at fault, the family of the deceased victim may choose to file a wrongful death case with the assistance of NC personal injury lawyers against the driver's estate or other responsible parties to obtain justice for the loss suffered.
