The North Carolina Injury Lawyers’ Perspective

Our deepest sympathies go out to the victim’s family. Losing a loved one is never easy, but the pain is even worse when that loss is sudden and unexpected. It’s also especially tragic when the victim is so young and had their whole life ahead of them.

The family of the victim should consider speaking to a North Carolina wrongful death attorney to discuss their legal options. They may have grounds to pursue a wrongful death claim against the at-fault driver, especially if it is suspected that the driver was negligent in operating the vehicle and that may have caused the driver to veer off the road.

Relevant Case Result:

Our firm has experience handling these types of tragic cases. For example, we represented a client who was a passenger on a moped travelling southbound on Highway 25 in Greenville, South Carolina (SC) when a vehicle driven by the defendant ran into the rear of the moped.  Both moped occupants were knocked off of the moped onto the street. The defendant then ran over our client.  The defendant admitted that just prior to the impact, he had taken his eyes off of the road momentarily, and the State Trooper later determined that the defendant was driving too fast for the conditions.

Our NC wrongful death law firm firm was able to secure a sizable, $400,000.00 settlement for the loved ones of the victim.
