What Happened:

A pedestrian was hit by a car while crossing the street at Clarendon Boulevard and North Highland Street in Arlington, Virginia (VA).

The victim remains in critical condition due to a fractured skull, two fractured legs, a broken arm and multiple lacerations. He has undergone multiple surgeries was put into a medically-induced coma due to the swelling of his brain.

The at-fault driver has been charged with DUI and DUI maiming. He is being held without bond. The charges may change depending on the condition of the victim, according to wusa9.com.
