Pedestrian Killed by Car in Harnett County, North Carolina | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

 What Happened:

A 40 year-old pedestrian from Spring Lake, North Carolina died the evening of Dec. 15 when he was run over by a Honda Civic. The pedestrian, Thomas Knight III, was trying to cross NC 210, just inside of Harnett County, when he was hit by the Civic.

North Carolina State Police stated that the pedestrian wore dark clothing and it was dark when he tried to cross the busy road. He was hit about 1/10 of a mile north of Spring Lake, and around two miles from his house.

At this time, the driver of the car has not been charged. Knight suffered severe head injuries and died on the scene.
