The Virginia Personal Injury Lawyers’ Perspective

Statistically, flying in a commercial aircraft is safer than driving your own car. However, aircraft accidents do happen and typically the results are tragic. Aviation disasters most often occur as a result of pilot error, improper maintenance, contamination of fuel, mechanical or design flaws, or air traffic controller negligence. When negligence on the part of an individual or company is the cause of a fatal aviation accident, the deaths fall under the legal category of wrongful death. When such accidents occur, the families of accident victims may be able to retain a plane crash attorney to file a wrongful death lawsuit.
