Several Injured in Chain Reaction Crash on I-64 in Virginia (VA) | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

What Happened:

Two separate accidents caused havoc on Intestate 64 near route 288 in Henrico County, Virginia (VA). First a Ford Taurus struck a Chrysler while trying to change lanes. Police charged the driver of the Taurus with making an unsafe lane change. Then when the cars behind the Taurus crash stopped a Saturn Coupe did not.  The driver slammed into the car in-front of her which forced that car into another car which in turn pushed the last car into the path of a tractor-trailer. Police charged the Saturn driver with following too close and several people suffered injuries.

As an experienced Virginia (VA) car accident attorney I know how confusing chain reaction and multi-vehicle crashes can be.  As an injury lawyer who has successfully handled hundreds of car accident cases, one of the best pieces of advice I can give you is to obtain a copy of the police report.   Many times it can be difficult to determine which car wreck was a secondary accident and which was the primary.  If you were injured in this type of car accident, I strongly recommend obtaining the services of an injury lawyer from our firm. Experienced Virginia (VA) car accident attorneys know what type of insurance can be claimed, where those claims can and should be filed, and are extremely experienced in the litigation process.
