It is currently unknown if any charges are pending in this case.  One can imagine that the driver of the Jeep would have grounds to file a personal injury claim on behalf of themself, as well as the minor, against the driver of the car that hit them from behind.  We can only presume what may have caused the driver of the car to hit the Jeep from behind like she did.  Maybe she was driving too fast or didn’t stop in time or maybe she was simply not paying attention.  Perhaps she was distracted by talking or texting on a cell phone or by something else.  Whatever the reason, it cannot be denied that the injuries suffered by those in the Jeep are a result of her hitting the Jeep from behind.

As experienced North Carolina personal injury lawyers, we have clients all the time who were injured in accidents just like this one.   Often as a result of one of the reasons stated above.  When someone is hurt in this manner, they are often entitled to recover a monetary settlement to help compensate them for their injuries and medical bills and, possibly, lost wages for time lost from work as a result of those injuries.
