As truck accident attorneys in our law practice in Virginia, we know that too many truck accidents occur because of reckless driving. Reckless driving always is dangerous but it can be deadly with a big rig. If someone is convicted of reckless driving, it is a Class 1 misdemeanor, which can result in one year in jail and a six month license suspension at least. Fines can be up to $2500, and for truck drivers, their commercial driver’s license could be suspended.
Most reckless driving involving trucks usually involves driving too fast. Other common reckless driving charges against all drivers include:
· Passing a school bus that is stopped.

· Not yielding right of way.
All car and truck drivers should always take care to drive carefully and to never drive in a reckless fashion.
