Training the Key to Preventing Fire Tanker Truck Rollovers | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

While not common, tanker truck rollovers cause a significant injuries and deaths among firefighters. In his latest post to the Virginia Trucking Accident/Injury Blog, my colleague John C. takes note of one of the latest of the these unfortunate accidents in which an 18-year-old North Carolina (NC) firefighter became paralyzed. Since driver errors such as speeding and oversteering account for most tanker truck rollovers, initial and regular refresher training is the best way to prevent such accidents. John provides links to relevant driver training standards and regulations.
