Two Airlifted to Virginia Hospital Following West Virginia Car Accident | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A three-vehicle accident on Route 9 in Charles Town, West Virginia (WV), on February 23, 2012, left three people injured, two of whom had to be airlifted to a hospital in Virginia (VA).

It is unclear how the accident happened, but police believe that a GMC Sierra made contact with a Kia Sephia while traveling eastbound near the intersection with Crosswinds Drive. This contact caused the Kia to collapse in on its driver’s side and also caused the GMC to roll onto a third vehicle, a pickup truck that received only minor damage.

The driver of the GMC Sierra was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

My thoughts go out to the victims, and I hope they make full and complete recoveries.

If charges are filed against any of the drivers, the victims should consider speaking with an experienced West Virginia car accident attorney to determine how to proceed with personal injury claims. In the meantime, this information provided by a personal injury attorney who practices in West Virginia will answer some questions about filing a personal injury claim should you or someone you know be victim of a horrible accident like this.
