‘Two Disease Rule’ Upheld for Worker With Lung Cancer and Mesothelioma | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

In his latest post to our firm’s Norfolk Injuryboard blog site, my colleague Rick Shapiro reports on a Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling in which the justices affirmed the state’s so-called ”two disease rule.” The common-sense principle, which only a handful of state courts apply, makes it possible for people made sick by workplace exposure to toxic substances such as asbestos to file separate claims for illnesses diagnosed at different times.
