Two Killed in Fairfax County, VA Crash | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

After a man driving a Pontiac Vibe crossed the median on Braddock Road in Fairfax, Virginia (VA), and struck her Toyota Highlander, Lora Melissa Meyers suffered injuries that proved fatal two days later. The deadly crash occurred near Shirley Gate Road and also claimed the life of the at-fault driver.

A third driver suffered injured in the accident and was taken to a local hospital. Police say alcohol and speed were not factors, and that seat belts were used by all parties. The investigation into the cause of the June 26, 2012, wreck continues.

The Virginia Wrongful Death Attorneys’ Perspective

Just because the at-fault driver was killed in the wreck does not mean Meyers’ family and the injured victim should go without compensation for their losses. True, the life of a loved one is priceless, but the at-fault driver’s insurance company can certainly help survivors recover from their losses.
