VA Beach Cyclist Killed

A motorcycle rider in Virginia Beach received fatal injuries when he lost control of his bike on December 27, 2011. WTKR reports the investigation of the incident is still pending. Early reports show the motorcycle hit a ditch, resulting in the rider being thrown from the bike.

The fatal motorcycle accident happened at 11:00 a.m. on Crags Causeway in the Blackwater section of Virginia Beach. Although reports do not suggest that other vehicles were involved, local officials will look into the event to find out what factors contributed to this tragic outcome.

Local personal injury attorneys in Virginia know that these kinds of accidents, which happen with unfortunate frequency around Virginia Beach and the Tidewater area, often stem from complex factors.

Poor road conditions and inclement weather are just some of the reasons that motorcycle riders might suffer from roadway accidents. Local personal injury and wrongful death lawyers have set up a resource for riders explaining many of the hazards that cyclists face and how they can contribute to an injury or fatality. Look for more at this InjuryBoard center for consumer information on how to handle these kinds of dangerous accidents.
