Virginia Beach, VA DUI Driver in Car Wreck Kills One and Injures Two | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A driver was charged with DUI and involuntary manslaughter after a crash on a Tuesday morning in February 2011 killed one person, and injured the driver and two passengers, according to the Virginian-Pilot.

The driver, age 26, struck a utility pole, at about 12:40 am, near the intersection of Virginia Beach Boulevard and Northridge Drive.

In the accident, two backseat passengers, not wearing seat belts, were thrown from the car. One backseat passenger, age 27, of Norfolk, died at the scene, while the other suffered life-threatening injuries.The driver and front passenger were also injured.

Each of the car accident represents a tragedy for friends and family members of the killed and injured victims. Our deepest condolences go out to them.
