Virginia Beach's Red-Light Cameras Pay Dividends in Increased Safety | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Drivers at busy intersections in Virginia Beach are stopping at red lights. This should not be news, but it is because more drivers are stopping more often since the city installed traffic enforcement cameras last March. My colleague Jim Lewis welcomes the development and the trend toward making local roads safer in his latest post to the Virginia Beach Injuryboard. Jim also notes, however, that intersections remain dangerous places and that all drivers must act responsibly behind the wheel.
