None of the names of the victims had been released because their families had not been notified, and the extent of the two surviving victims’ injuries were not discussed by the responding officer. Although the accident was still being investigated and witnesses had not all been interviewed by West Virginia State Police, it appeared that the white car may have crossed the median and collided with the truck, which was pulling a trailer.

As the facts of this accident unfold, it is important to remember the families and friends of all of the victims, no matter who was ultimately at fault. They have all suffered terrible losses, and those injured may have long roads to recovery. If charges are filed against either of the drivers, the victims and their families should consider speaking with an experienced West Virginia car accident attorney to determine how to proceed during this emotional time. In the meantime, this information provided by a personal injury attorney who practices in West Virginia answers many common questions that arise when you or someone you love is involved in an accident.
