West Virginia Truck Wreck Kills Two Men | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Brandon McGlothlin and William Boley lost their lives in a terrible truck crash on WV 2 near Waverly, according to newsandsentinel.com. McGlothlin was a passenger in a Dodge Dakota pickup truck while Mr. Boley was the driver of another Dodge Dakota pickup.

Reports indicate the truck carrying McGlothin initiated the accident. The at-fault driver apparently became distracted, drifted into the other lane, and, when he looked up and tried to get back into his lane, the steering failed to work. The at-fault driver could not get back into his lane in time.

This tragic accident is still under investigation and the steering will be checked to see if there is evidence of any pre-accident problems or defects.

Boley carried a 9-year-old passenger who suffered a leg fracture as a result of the truck accident.

Our deepest condolences go out to the families of McGlothlin and Boley. Losing anyone you love is one of the most gut-wrenching things a family member can go through, but it is especially difficult when you lose the loved one in a sudden, preventable accident.

Our firm understands the ramifications of a serious truck wreck. We recently settled a a truck wreck case where a man was killed and his only surviving beneficiary was his 5-year-old daughter. We were able to secure a sizable settlement for this young girl, but no amount of money can truly replace the love of a father, or any other family member.
