Who's to Blame for Fatal SC Crash Involving Trucker and 15-Year-Old Driver? | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

In his latest post to our Carolina personal injury law firm’s Northeast North Carolina Injuryboard blog site, my colleague John C. writes about the tricky liability issues raised by a Swansea, South Carolina (SC), accident in which a tractor-trailer rear-ended a vehicle driven by a teenager who held only a learner’s permit and was not accompanied by a licensed adult. Two children in the car lost their lives, another passenger was injured critically, and the semi driver was hurt. As John writes, “While courts and lawyers may ensure that the most at-fault party’s insurer provides monetary compensation to the person or people harmed, everyone will have to deal with the consequences of the accident for very long times.”
