W.VA Car and Motorcycle Collide—1 Man Hospitalized | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

In Huntington, West Virginia (W. VA), a hit and run accident between a motorcycle and a car has left one man in the hospital.

The W. VA automobile accident occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2011, on Route 60 East near the Washington Boulevard intersection. According to emergency dispatchers, the driver of the car took off after hitting the motorcycle. Huntington Police and the Huntington Fire Department responded to the W. VA car accident. The motorcycle driver was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. There is no word on his condition at the present time.

W. VA traffic accidents can be especially deadly when they involve a motorcycle and another vehicle. Even if the victim on the motorcycle is wearing a helmet, they are poorly protected in comparison to drivers and passengers in other vehicles.
