According to an article in the Virginian Pilot, two sisters, ages 3 and 4, were critically injured on December 16, 2008 when a tractor trailer ran into the back of the Toyota Corolla they were riding in. The car was stopped at a red light at the intersection of General Booth Blvd. and Hubbell Drive. According to Virginia Beach Police spokesman Adam Bernstein, the sisters were in the back seat in forward-facing child seats. They were both taken to Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in critical condition. The crash is under investigation and charges are pending against the truck driver.
In a subsequent article in the Virginian Pilot, according to Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughter’s spokesman George Stinnett, the four-year-old went home late Wednesday. Her sister remains in critical but stable condition.
