Alcohol Possible Factor in Fatal Virginia Beach Car Accident | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A one-vehicle accident in Virginia Beach left the driver dead but a passenger uninjured last weekend. Virginia Beach Police say that although they don’t believe that speed was a contributor to the deadly wreck, alcohol may have played a role.

According to the Daily Press, 24-year-old Brian Michael Rosner was driving home with a passenger when he lost control of his vehicle on Mango Drive in the Malibu neighborhood of the city. Police believe that Rosner, an apparent resident of Mango Drive, lost control while turning onto the street from Alcott Road. The pickup truck struck a guide when the driver attempted to correct the path of the car and flipped over. The fatal Virginia car accident took place on the morning of Wednesday, May 9, at just after two in the morning.

Rosner died at the scene of the accident when the roof collapsed on the driver’s side of the vehicle, but the passenger in the car was not injured.

The Virginia Beach car accident is under investigation by police, who stated that the two accident victims were wearing seat belts, but did not state where they were traveling from at the time of the crash. They said that looking into alcohol use would be part of the investigation.
