Elizabeth City Car Crash Leads to Death of 19-Year-Old Student | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A Virginia Beach, Virginia (VA) woman lost her life in a car accident in Elizabeth City, North Carolina (NC). The young woman was turning onto Peartree Road from Pitts Chapel Road when a pickup truck slammed into the driver’s side door, according to WAVY.com.

The victim was taken to Albemarle Hospital in an ambulance and was then flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where she died due to her injuries. She was only 19 years old.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the victim’s family. It is a heartbreaking experience to lose someone you love, and it’s especially gut-wrenching when the victim is so young and had their whole lives ahead of them. The young girl was a student at Tidewater Community College and a 2010 graduate of Kellam High School.
