Facebook "Cover-Up" in Virginia Wrongful Death Case May Lose Widower $10.6 Million Award | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

My colleague, Rick Shapiro, brought up an interesting twist about how facebook can get you in hot water in court.  Lawyers and insurance companies will search your Facebook page.  In this case it was after a defendant was ordered to pay $10.6 Million dollars for a Virginia (VA) wrongful death claim to a young woman who was killed by a cement truck. Now the trucking company is crying foul after Facebook photos they requested were made to “disappear” by the widower. Will he lose the $10.6 Million dollar award over a Facebook post?
