Firm Attorney Recertified by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Firm injury lawyer Rick Shapiro was recently recertified by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification (NBLSC). This is a prestigious certification which requires years of experience and proof of success as a trial attorney. For example, certificate holders have to undergo a thorough screening of their credentials. This process includes showing documentation of the lawyer’s experience, judicial and peer references, an exam, and all certified lawyers must report any disciplinary matters brought before any official body, whether public or private, for review by the NBLSC Standards Committee.

Rick satisfied all of these criteria to achieve certification and has maintained his sterling reputation in the legal field, which enabled him to be recertified.

The firm is very proud of Rick’s recertification. It is another example of our firm’s commitment to excellence in the field of personal injury law. Rick has been practicing personal injury law for over 20 years and, in addition to being an NBLSC certified lawyer, he is a Virginia “Super Lawyer” (2011) and was named as a “Best Lawyer” in the field of injury law.
