Firm FELA lawyer was named president of the FELA litigation group for the American Association for Justice. The announcement was made at the July 2011 annual AAJ convention in New York.

The purpose of the FELA Litigation Group is to promote and facilitate cooperation and sharing of information and ideas among its members with regard to prosecution and handling of claims on behalf of injured workers under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA; 45 U.S.C. §§ 51, et seq.), and related statutes (e.g., Jones Act, Safety Appliance Act).

John has been practicing personal injury law and railroad worker injury law for decades. In that time, he has secured large settlements and jury verdicts for rail workers who were seriously hurt while working for big railroads like Norfolk Southern and CSX. John’s success in this area of law probably played a role in his receiving this prestigious leadership position.
