UPS Honors 30 Virginia Drivers for Accident-Free Truck Driving | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Thirty UPS truck drivers in Virginia were inducted into the Circle of Honor last week – a organization made up of truckers who have driven for the company for over 25 years without recording a truck accident. All in all, Virginia has just over one hundred active UPS drivers in the Circle of Honor – drivers who together have logged 2,854 years of driving accident-free.

Across the country, over 1,000 UPS drivers were welcomed into the circle. One man holds the longest record for driving for the company without an accident: 50 years.

In regards to the new inductees, the president of UPS’ regional office said that the accident-free truck driving is a testament to the pride that Circle of Honor drivers put into their work – and that he had pride in all of them. He also thanked the employees for saving lives and driving safe.

UPS truck drivers have some of the best driving records on the road. The company attributes their safety and success to the amount of money and time they spend on driver training and rewards programs as well as on their tradition of recognizing safe drivers.
