Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp Lecture to Members of Local Bar Association | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

The Virginia Beach & Norfolk personal injury attorneys at Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp hosted and lectured a seminar for the Virginia Beach Bar Association.

The audience of nearly 100 attorneys listened to Patrick Austin discuss medical expense benefits, Randy Appleton and Rick Shapiro discuss wrongful death claims, and Jim Lewis and Kevin Duffan (featured in the photo on the left) talk medical malpractice. Chris Boynton, an attorney with the City of Virginia Beach, also presented on issues related to sovereign immunity. The Honorable Judge Steven Frucci moderated the event and we were so happy to have him in attendance.

The seminar was a “CLE” (Continuing Legal Education) course. All attorneys licensed in Virginia must complete at least 12 hours of CLE courses. It is an honor for attorneys with a particular law firm to host and lecture a CLE to fellow attorneys. This is an indication of the respect members of our personal injury law firm have in the legal community.
