Attorney John C. wrote an article entitled “Ethics in Settlement Negotiation” which was published in the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association journal (Volume 22, Number 2). The article highlighted what type of statements can be made during a settlement negotiation between a victim’s lawyer and opposing counsel. John also emphasized the point that a personal injury lawyer works on behalf of the client and any decision on settlement offers needs to ultimately be made by the client.
