When is a Bicyclist a Pedestrian?

Seth Scott and Rick Shapiro, two personal injury attorneys in Norfolk, VA discuss scenarios where a bicyclist would actually be considered a pedestrian for the purposes of an injury claim against a negligent driver who winds up causing a serious collision. For example, Rick mentions the scenario where a bike rider gets off of their bike and begins walking through a designated crosswalk. Once the bike rider has their feet on the ground, they are legally considered a pedestrian.
