“I would definitely recommend Mr. Shapiro to anyone else who has a medical malpractice claim. I was very pleased with their work. Well, my husband was in the hospital, and during attempts to anesthetize him, he suffered anoxia. I was really in shock.
But my brother kind of stepped in and started doing research to find a good attorney in my area that could help me. And we got in contact with Rick about the situation with my husband. At that time, we weren’t sure what was going to happen, but we knew it was very serious. And we needed some legal help.
I mean, he flew up almost immediately within a day or two and met with us. I was really impressed by that. I just immediately felt that he was going to be able to take charge of this and that was really good because I wanted to concentrate on what was happening with my husband. He brought a video camera and videoed my husband, who was having chronic seizures because of brain damage. He’s done this many times, and he knew what needed to be done at that point to document what they had done to my husband.
And Rick arranged for a forensic pathologist, and he started researching what had gone wrong, what were the procedures for doing this kind of anesthesiology, what kind of damage had been done. He really dug into in deep, and I was very impressed by his medical knowledge.
The whole thing was devastating to me, and I remember crying, you know, well, during his hospital stay, and then after he died, I was really, really upset, and I felt like I didn’t have to think about the lawsuit or proving the case or any of that because I could just hand it over to Rick.
I thought they were very professional and just able to proactively take care of things, plan ahead for what would be necessary later on in the process. They were very aggressive about, you know, pursuing a good resolution for me. And I was very comfortable dealing with them. They were sensitive to my feelings as a widow losing my husband. So I would recommend them to anybody pursuing this type of claim.”
