“We had a tragedy involving my mom. We had to find a very good lawyer, and my brother and myself looked online and found Mr. Shapiro and his firm, with the tragedy with my mom, to help us.
My mom needed a scheduled coil embolization, and it went horribly wrong. My mom was not responsive after the procedure, and we had to talk to the doctor. After the procedure didn’t go well, they talked to me and my brother and explained that she needed surgery to try to make it go right, to fix the problem, coil embolization, but it didn’t go well. And she was in the ICU afterwards, and she never fully recovered consciously. We had to decide, me and my brother, to take her off of life support. And we did take her off of life support, and she passed away.
Myself had to get appointed with the court to proceed with the courts with the doctor. Shapiro wanted to settle without going to court. And we did a mediation. And it did not go well through mediation. We didn’t settle through mediation.
As a representative for myself and my brother, I offered to go ahead and settle for a suit. And with that, we had to get expert witnesses. Mr. Shapiro said we had to get expert witnesses to explain how the procedure should have went with my mom, with the coil embolization.
I was nervous. Mr. Shapiro prepared me well with the deposition for court, me and my brother. Even after the deposition, it didn’t settle, and we were prepared for court. We got a trial date, and my attorney, Mr. Shapiro, predicted that it would settle a couple of months before trial, and it did.
I think that, and I do know, should I say that Mr. Shapiro and his staff did help us, and got us along and prepared us for the courts and the deposition that we went through with the trial. It was a lot of back and forth with the settling and he helped us to decide which way to go.
The firm is a nice firm to work with because they’re honest and they will help you and guide you through the process of preparing you for trial and trying to settle the case. I would recommend the firm, Sapporo firm, if you have a wrongful death case or situation, then I would recommend the company to someone if they needed it.”

“I came to hire your law firm because I had concerns about a former OBGYN and some medical procedures that had been done on me. And upon Mr. Shapiro looking over my medical records, he noticed that a couple of years prior, I had gotten my tubes tied. So Mr. Shapiro got some experts to…
“I had networked with two or three law firms, all of which decided that they would not represent me. I was so pleased with Mr. Shapiro and the entire law firm. He was so anxious to meet me. He flew from Virginia here to Baltimore to meet with me, to sit down with me. He…
“Rick and Kevin’s partnership, I think, made this very successful. I was very satisfied with the results. They were very detailed and thorough in what they pursued for me. In 2010, I went to the hospital for a laparoscopic hysterectomy with physicians there. The surgery resulted in a catastrophic situation, and I had to be…
“I would recommend Attorney Lewis and anyone contacting Attorney Lewis or the firm, anyone in this firm, to look over their case. I was inclined to Attorney Lewis because I had a malpractice case where I had surgery for a total hysterectomy, and during the total hysterectomy, the doctor nicked my urethra. So I was…
