AndroGel Heart Attack – One of the Many Low T Side Effects – Info from Virginia Beach & Norfolk Drug Injury Lawyers

Low T Side Effects Causing Serious Injuries and Death

Prescription testosterone may double your risk of suffering a heart attack. In fact, many men have reported suffering an AndroGel heart attack after taking the popular prescription drug. Other testosterone drugs (a.k.a. low T drugs) carry similar health risks. If that wasn’t bad enough, the manufacturers of these low T medications failed to warn users of the dramatic increase in the risk of suffering a life-threatening injury like deep vein thrombosis and/or heart attack. This is why low T medications are now the subject of a class action lawsuit.

Profit Over Safety?

Commercials flooded the airwaves telling men who had low energy and/or low sex drive that they may be suffering from “low T”, a condition related to lower-than-normal levels of testosterone. The supposed answer? Take a testosterone prescription medication like AndroGel, Androderm, Axiron, Testim, etc. Unfortunately, what the commercial failed to reveal was a major risk of suffering a heart attack after taking a testosterone drug. Many patients are experiencing low T side effects such as serious cardiovascular injuries, including heart attack, stroke, deep vein thrombosis, and so forth. Our low T heart attack attorneys have been following the flood of news reports about these serious side effects and are extremely concerned that thousands of men could be affected.

Medical Studies Highlight Serious Health Risks of Low T Drugs Like AndroGel, Axiron, Testim, etc.

The Journal of the American Medical Association published a study that evaluated cardiovascular injuries of men who were prescribed testosterone drugs compared to men not taking testosterone medication. The study revealed a sharp 30 percent increase in the risk of heart attack or stroke for men taking testosterone drugs compared to men not on the drugs. The study concluded that the use of testosterone drugs is associated with an increased risk of adverse cardiovascular injuries, including, myocardial infarction (heart attack), stroke, and deep vein thrombosis.

Another study, conducted by epidemiologist William Finkle and researchers at UCLA, supported the results of the study from the American Medical Association Journal. Dr. Finkle’s study showed an increased risk of heart attack for men taking testosterone medication. The UCLA researchers discovered that men ages 65 and older doubled their risk of a heart attack in the 90 days after receiving a testosterone prescription.

The UCLA study included over 55,000 participants. The study concluded that in older men, and in younger men with pre-existing diagnosed heart disease, the risk of heart attack following initiation of testosterone therapy substantially increased. News of these health risks is making national headlines.

Low T Class Action Lawsuit – Low T Class Action Lawyers Unite to Stand Up For the Victims

Federal judges ordered all low T side effect injury lawsuits filed in U.S. District Courts across the country to be centralized before a judge in the Northern District of Illinois. The cases will be decided through something called multidistrict litigation (“MDL”).

Basically, that’s a fancy lawyer term for class action litigation. Dozens of low T side effect lawsuits have been filed by Low T heart attack lawyers against the makers of AndroGel, Axiron, Testim, Foresta, AndroDerm, Depo-Testosterone, and so forth. However, any future cases filed involving any testosterone gel, cream, injection, or other prescription treatment will be transferred to the low T class action lawsuit as well.

Why MDL/Low T Class Action? Because most of these low T heart attack, low T stroke, and low T blood clot lawsuits involve common issues and claims where the medications caused men to suddenly suffer horrific low T side effects.
