In his latest post to our VA-NC Medical Surgery Malpractice Blog, my colleague Mark F. reports on a major victory for a patient who suffered a stroke following botched gastric bypass surgery at a Florida (FL) hospital. The man’s surgeon, doctors and nurses failed to diagnose or treat internal bleeding during the postoperative period, and now the man is partially blind, wheelchair-bound and unable to care for himself.
