NC Car Crash Results in Pickerington Teen Death and His Family Members' Injuries | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A North Carolina car crash killed a Pickerington, NC, teenager, age 16, in March 2011, according to WBNS-10TV.

The multiple-car wreck along I-40 near I-85, in North Carolina, tragically disrupted the lives of the teen and his family when they were traveling on a spring break from school. Going north on the interstate, another car spun out of control and struck the car the teen was in, which then collided with another car before running over a guardrail and down an embankment.

The teen, a student at Pickerington North High School, died at the scene. Two members of the teen’s family were hospitalized for injuries. Police charged the driver of the car that caused the wreck.

If the NC wreck was the fault of anyone, the family or friends of the teen might have to file a wrongful death case with the assistance of North Carolina personal injury lawyers against the responsible parties in order to get justice for the pain they suffered.

The death of a loved one is a life-changing event that may never fully be put in the past. It is troubling to think, in a split second, the teen’s family members might have suffered serious injuries they may never fully recover from, and the teen’s life ended forever, with no one ever to experience his energy, smile, or love again. This North Carolina vehicle crash illustrated the damage that can occur in a car wreck, and how someone might need to engage NC personal injury attorneys to help in a recovery.
