Plastic Surgeon, Anesthesia Nurse Must Pay $20M for Patient’s Death | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

In his latest post to our firm’s Virginia and North Carolina Medical Surgery Malpractice Attorneys blog, my colleague Jim Lewis writes about two incidents in which plastic surgery complications led to the deaths of young women. The surgeons and nurses of the surgical teams were found negligent in trials for not ensuring the patients received proper care for their surgical injuries and adverse reactions to anesthesia. In a case in Pennsylvania (PA), a jury awarded $20 million to the family of the deceased woman.
