Tort Reform Myths and Injustices Revealed in ‘Hot Coffee’ Documentary on HBO

In his latest post to our firm's Norfolk Injuryboard blog, my personal injury attorney colleague Rick Shapiro urges everyone to watch Hot Coffee, a documentary directed by a former defective and dangerous products lawsuit plaintiffs' lawyer that debuts on HBO at 9 pm EDT, June 27, 2011. The film opens by revealing the truths of the McDonald's coffee lawsuit and then exposes the injustice behind calls for tort reform, which amount to nothing more than efforts to strip injury and wrongful death victims of their constitutionally guaranteed rights to seek fair compensation from companies, health care providers and individuals whose negligence caused them harm.
