Two People Hospitalized Following Route 29 Accident in Virginia | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A Route 29 south crash in Albemarle County, Virginia (VA), occurred at approximately 7:30 am on April 21, 2011, at the intersection of Route 29 and Hilton Heights.

According to police, a motorcycle and a car were stopped at the light when another car rear ended them. The motorcycle driver and the driver of the car that was rear-ended were sent to the hospital for medical treatment. Their motor vehicle accident injuries are not expected to be life threat-threatening.

Police were forced to divert traffic onto Berkmar Drive while the area was being cleared. The accident snarled the commute of many people driving to work that morning. A reckless driving citation was issued to the driver of the car that rear-ended the other vehicles.

We hope that the victims in this auto accident recover, and quickly. Whenever vehicles are rear-ended, fault is almost always found with the driver of the car that hit them from behind. This is because cars are expected to leave enough space between their vehicles and those in front of them to avoid motor vehicle accidents.

If they do not, the results can be severe. For instance, take a look at this motorcycle accident on the highway.

Motorcycle victims are especially at risk for terrible injuries in an accident, since their vehicles offer less protection than cars. If you, or someone that you know, was involved in a Virginia traffic accident, contact VA accident attorneys who offer a free consultation for your case.
