Virginia (VA) Firefighters Killed After Truck Rolls Over | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

In his latest post to the Virginia Trucking Accident/Injury Blog, my colleague Randy Appleton shares the sad news that two firefighters lost their lives while responding to an emergency call in Rocky Mount, Virginia (VA). The fatal rollover accident apparently occurred when the driver of an SUV clipped the fire truck as it passed through a Route 40 intersection with its siren and lights going. As Randy notes, firefighters, police officers, EMTs and other emergency responders should always have right of way and should not have to fear for their lives when traveling to where their services are required.
