William Hicks, a 22-year-old native of Yorktown, Virginia (VA), was driving an Acura Integra traveling southbound on Magruder Boulevard when a Chevy Silverado attempted to make a left turn onto Hampton Roads Center Parkway. The Silverado crashed into the Integra at the intersection, according to WAVY-TV 10. Hicks lost his life in the accident.
The investigation into this Hampton, VA accident continues so we do not know yet if the at-fault driver was distracted, under the influence, or simply tried to make an abrupt turn and wound up slamming into the Integra.
Our deepest condolences go out to the Yorktown native and his family. Losing a loved one is a gut-wrenching experience, but the pain is made even worse when the loss occurs during the holidays.
