What Happened

A 24-year-old Sailor was killed in a collision with a pickup truck on Port Centre Parkway in Portsmouth, Virginia (VA). The accident took place on March 11, 2013 in the 400 block of Porte Centre Parkway at Edwards Street when a Chevrolet Silverado collided with the motorcycle. When police arrived they found a destroyed motorcycle and the sailor lying in the roadway. Authorities pronounced the sailor dead at the scene. The initial investigation has determined the motorcycle was headed north when the pickup truck turned left from the south towards Edwards Street and collided with the motorcycle.
