North Carolina Personal Injury Lawyer Perspective:
This terrible accident shows how very important it is for all drivers to pay close attention to the road. One moment of inattention can have horrific consequences. It always is a good idea to never use your cell phone or touch the radio when the car is moving, as this can cause terrible accidents such as this one.
No charges have been filed in this case, but the family may want to speak with an attorney. The family of the SUV driver could be eligible for financial restitution, including but not limited to expected income loss from the victim, loss of services, care and protection, medical expenses, funeral expenses, and for sorrow and mental anguish.
We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the victim.
