Delivery Truck Driver With Suspended License Strikes Virginia CyclistPosted on Dec 19, 2011
The Virginia commercial truck and bicycle collision took place on October 8, when Marchant was driving south on Virginia 100. The truck driver struck 40-year-old Michael Sprick, a German tourist and cyclist. Sprick was rushed to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with a traumatic brain injury and other medical issues and has not since regained consciousness. Cyclists he had met during his trip to the United States stood at his side after the wreck until his relatives overseas flew him back to Germany earlier this month to continue his recovery.
At the reckless driving trial, which took place in Pulaski County court, Marchant’s Virginia truck accident attorney stressed that his client felt terrible about the truck wreck and that the crash was unintentional.
The Hampton truck accident attorneys at Shapiro & Appleton& Duffan send Michael Sprick and his family the best, as well as wishes for a complete recovery from his injuries.
