In his latest post to our firm’s Newport News, VA Car & Truck Accident Injury Lawyers blog, my colleague John C. describes plans to dramatically expand passenger rail service to that city as well as Norfolk, Chesapeake and Suffolk. John observes that more Amtrak trains means more drivers and pedestrians will face the danger of crashes at grade crossings along tracks owned and maintained by CSX and Norfolk Southern. He calls, in particular, for upgrades such as gates and warning lights at rural crossings.
