DUI Hit-and-Run Leaves Bike Rider Critically Injured in Virginia Beach, VA | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Police in Virginia Beach, VA, have arrested a suspected drunk driver in connection with a hit-and-run collision near the intersection of Sykes Avenue and Virginia Beach Boulevard on the night of Sept. 14, 2012. The crash left a bike rider critically injured.

According to WAVY-TV 10, the driver hit the bicyclist from behind after the rider drifted into the lane of traffic. The man arrested is not being charged with causing the wreck, but he is in jail on charges of second offense DUI, fleeing the scene of an accident, maiming and driving without a license.
