A vehicle rollover accident in Cedar Grove, North Carolina (N.C.) resulted in paramedics transporting an injured a 9 year old child to the hospital Sunday afternoon. A parent’s worse nightmare is having to see your child suffer from an injury after being involved in a car crash. As a personal injury attorney we understand this all too well from the amount of injuries we see from similar accidents. There are many ways that a car crash can occur, but some of the most traumatic injuries result from car rollover accidents.

There are about 280,000 rollover accidents in the US each year, resulting in about 10,000 fatal accidents. SUVs with a high center of gravity are more likely to be involved in rollover accidents than typical sedans. About 35 percent of fatal crashes in SUVs resulted from a rollover crash, compared to 16 percent of fatal passenger car accidents resulting from rollovers. This percentage indicates fact that SUVs are much more likely to rollover and result in a fatality.
