Virginia Personal Injury Lawyer Perspective:

This unfortunate accident is a sober reminder to all of us to use care when walking near busy roads. It is important to wear bright colored clothing and be sure that drivers can see you when you cross the road. Also, only cross streets at crosswalks, and obey all traffic laws to ensure such a tragic accident does not unfold. We extend our deepest condolences to the family.

No charges have been filed yet, but the family of the deceased should consider speaking to an experienced personal injury lawyer to see if there may be grounds for a wrongful death lawsuit.
