Stopped/Parked Car Linked to NC Woman’s Death on Lake Mattamuskeet’s Highway 94 | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

My colleague Rick Shapiro posted an article about a Goldsboro, NC area car accident that killed Emily Gibbs, of Northeast NC.  At 2:30 p.m on March 7th a 94 year-old passenger died after the car she was riding in rear-ended a parked car on NC Highway 94 across Lake Mattamuskeet in Hyde County, North Carolina.  According to Highway Patrol Trooper Darrell Pugh, Emily Gibbs, a resident of Goldsboro was sitting in the back seat and was wearing her seat belt. As reported by WITN-TV, Gibbs was pronounced dead at the scene but her cause of accidental/wrongful death is unclear at this time.
