Hopefully all of those injured in this accident make a full and speedy recovery.  This crash, once again, brings to light the need to pay absolute attention when operating a motor vehicle.  Too many times, accidents like this could have been avoided if only those responsible had simply been paying attention.  At this time, we do not know what caused the driver of the car to collide with the van.  Perhaps they were distracted by something in the car.  Perhaps they were just not paying attention.   Maybe they just thought they had enough time to complete their turn before the van reached the intersection.   We will know more upon completion of the investigation.

As experienced personal injury lawyers, we see cases like this all the time.  It is quite frustrating to see so many people injured as a direct result of someone else’s negligence.  Accidents like this could easily be avoided if those driving on our roads would simply pay attention.  These types of accidents just reiterate the need to remove all distractions while driving.  As charges are pending against the driver of the car, those injured in this accident may want to contact a North Carolina personal injury lawyer to discuss their options for filing a personal injury claim.
