It should go without saying, but driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is reckless and  wholly irresponsible. Unfortunately, many DWI wrecks indicate that people still throw caution to the wind and get behind the wheel while intoxicated.

The victim in this case should contact a personal injury attorney in North Carolina to discuss his legal options. When serious injuries are involved, a victim may be forced to miss a significant amount of time from work, accrue large amounts of medical bills and suffer a decreased quality of life. These are damages that can be recovered through a personal injury claim.
