Two Injured in Charlotte, NC When Car Crash Leaves Their Vehicle Pinned Under Semi | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Two people went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after their car was forced underneath an 18-wheeler at the instersection of Billy Graham Parkway and Scott Futrell Drive near Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina (NC). Witnesses say at least one vehicle collided with a U.S. Postal Service tractor-trailer after the driver of one of the cars ran a red light.

Thankfully, this accident wasn’t more serious or fatal. My thoughts go out to the people injured, and I wish them a speedy recovery.

We’ve all experienced the white-knuckle experience of driving alongside a tractor-trailer. Large trucks are sometimes outweight the average car by 20 times, and safely sharing the road with such gargantuan vehicles can be difficult. Fears of being sideswiped or run off the road are common for even the most seasoned drivers.

As a Carolina trucking accident attorney, I know the injured victims are paying for a red light runner’s mistakes. No one should have to suffer because of someone else’s poor driving decisions. If you or someone you love has been injured in a crash, never hesitate to consult an attorney. Having someone fight for your rights in a courtroom can make all the difference.
